Taipei by night:
Plenty of activity at night in the city center, various "night markets" around town, hopping clubs, even people doing exercise in the parks late into the evening. A visit to a jazz club full of enthusiastic dancers seems incongruous given the normally staid and polite character of Taipei by day.
"Songshan Cultural and Creative Park", at dusk.
From Songshan Cultural and Creative Park, looking towards City Hall.
Reflection in the pond, Songshan Cultural and Creative Park.
101, again.
Street café.
Fountain in front of the Hyatt.
Not starving to death.
Jazz club.
Taipei is pot sticker heaven. A little broccoli to give the illusion of healthy eating. About $2.75 US for the lot.
This is the image I've always had of Asian cities: giant illuminated billboards. Like a scene from Blade Runner.
Reminiscent of the Berlin walking man.
Reminiscent of Space Invaders.
Stir-fry emporium.
Time to eat.
Beef tenderloin, onions, scallions, garlic, chili peppers.
Little machines that twirl above the food to keep flies away.
Some kind of Pokemon event...hundreds of people sitting or milling around in the park at night staring at their cellphones.
Fruity drinks. Not cheap.
